RTCA DO-160 Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment Compliance Testing The E/F/G standard is a standard used for testing electrical and electronic equipment for the aviation industry. The RTCA DO-160 standard is designed to simulate the various environmental conditions that equipment may be exposed to during air travel.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Test is a test included in the 25th section of the RTCA DO-160 standard. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing is a condition that occurs when static electricity is suddenly discharged into a device. This can adversely affect the operation of electronic equipment or cause serious damage, especially in the aviation industry.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Test in RTCA DO-160 E/F/G standard is performed to determine how electronic equipment will react in such situations. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing is performed using a specially designed Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) generator. The generator discharges static electricity by delivering a high-voltage pulse to a device.

During Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing, different parts of electronic equipment, interfaces and cables are exposed to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) pulses. Thus, it is determined how the equipment will react, be affected or be damaged in the face of these impacts.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Testing in the RTCA DO-160 E/F/G standard is considered an important test for the aviation industry. Thanks to the Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Test, the reliability of electronic equipment used in aircraft and other aircraft can be increased and the safety of passengers can be ensured.

Within the scope of our STEST facility located in Ankara, which is an organization accredited by TURKAK, we comply with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 General Requirements for the Competence of Experiment and Calibration Laboratories Standard and comply with the RTCA DO-160 Environmental Conditions and Test Procedures for Airborne Equipment standard E/F/G.
