Injected Voltage Surges Test

MIL-STD-1275 D/E/F

MIL-STD-1275 28V DC Input Power Specifications for Devices for Use in Military Vehicles The D/E/F military standard is used to test the suitability of electrical equipment used in military vehicles to power supplies. This standard includes the Injected Voltage Surge test to measure the resistance of vehicles to sudden voltage changes that they may encounter when the engine is running and when it is not running.

Injected Voltage Surge Test is performed by applying a certain voltage level to the vehicle's power supply. These voltage fluctuations usually occur during vehicle engine operation. During Voltage Surge Testing, voltage fluctuations in the power supply are stepped up and down to predetermined levels. The duration and intensity of these fluctuations are adjusted to gauge how the electronic equipment in the vehicle will respond.

In the Injected Voltage Surge Test, a fluctuating voltage is applied to the vehicle's power supply at a certain frequency. The amplitude, frequency and waveform of these fluctuations are determined. In this way, it can be measured how resistant to surges the electronic devices in the vehicle are.

During the Injected Voltage Surge Test, it is monitored whether the electronic devices in the vehicle continue to work. As a result of the Injected Voltage Surge Test, it is determined whether electronic devices can operate within a certain range or not. Thanks to the Injected Voltage Surge Test, the resistance of electronic equipment used in military vehicles to surges can be measured, so these devices can operate reliably and robustly.

Injected Voltage Surge Test is important to increase the reliability of electronic equipment used in military vehicles. Equipment resistant to Injected voltage fluctuations can be used more reliably in military operations.
