Injected Voltage Spikes Test
MIL-STD-1275 D/E/F
MIL-STD-1275 28V DC Input Power Specifications for Devices for Use in Military Vehicles The D/E/F military standard is used to test the suitability of electrical equipment used in military vehicles to power supplies. The MIL-STD-1275 D/E/F standard includes the SInjected Voltage Spikes Test to measure the resistance of vehicles to sudden voltage changes that they may encounter while the engine is running and not running.
Injected Voltage Spikes Test is performed by applying a certain voltage level to the vehicle's power supply. These voltage fluctuations usually occur during vehicle engine operation. During Inrush Injected Voltage Spikes Testing, voltage fluctuations in the power supply are stepped up and down to predetermined levels. The duration and intensity of these fluctuations are adjusted to gauge how the electronic equipment in the vehicle will respond.
The purpose of the Injected Voltage Spikes Test is to measure the durability of the electronic systems in the vehicle against sudden voltage fluctuations and to ensure that these devices can operate reliably. As a result of the Injected Voltage Spikes Test, it is determined whether electronic devices can operate within a certain range or not.
Injected Voltage Spikes Test is important to increase the reliability of electronic equipment used in military vehicles. Equipment resistant to sudden voltage fluctuations can be used more reliably in military operations.
