TSE/IEC/EN 55011/CISPR 11 Standard Tests
TSE/IEC/EN 55011/CISPR 11 standard tests define the requirements and test methods for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) equipment. Within the scope of this standard, the necessary tests are specified to help ensure that ISM equipment operates safely, reliably, and without causing unacceptable electromagnetic disturbance.
Objective Purpose
- To define the tests required to demonstrate the electromagnetic compatibility of industrial, scientific, and medical equipment.
- To support safe and reliable operation by minimizing the risk of electromagnetic interference.
Test Scope Coverage
- Electrical power tests and EMC tests.
- Shock immunity tests, EMC radiated/disturbance evaluations, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) tests.
Technical Implementation Process
- Power consumption is measured and the level of electromagnetic emissions generated by the equipment is evaluated.
- Immunity to electromagnetic interference, shock/vibration robustness, emission characteristics, and ESD behavior are assessed.
