Low-Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity in Accordance with MIL-STD-461

RS101 Test (Radiated Susceptibility, Magnetic Field, 30Hz–100kHz)

The RS101 test, conducted within the scope of MIL-STD-461, is applied to assess the immunity level of electrical and electronic equipment against low-frequency electromagnetic fields. The test verifies that the equipment operates compatibly with other onboard systems and maintains stable performance under externally induced electromagnetic effects.

Purpose of the RS101 Test Objective

  • Verify immunity to low-frequency electromagnetic fields.
  • Support electromagnetic compatibility across the platform.
  • Ensure stable performance under external electromagnetic influences.

Scope of the RS101 Test Scope

  • Applicable to equipment used on military platforms.
  • Conducted under normal operating conditions.
  • Performed in accordance with MIL-STD-461 revisions E, F, and G.

RS101 Test Method Process

  • Field strength is measured using electric and magnetic field probes and antennas.
  • The functional status of the equipment is monitored throughout the test.
  • Measured values are compared against the applicable standard limits.

Our RS101 Testing Services and Infrastructure STEST

  • RS101 tests are performed in accordance with MIL-STD-461 revisions E, F, and G.
  • TÜRKAK-accredited laboratory compliant with TS EN ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Military measurement conditions are provided in our semi-anechoic test room.

STEST performs RS101 magnetic field immunity tests under the scope of MIL-STD-461, using accredited infrastructure and measurement environments compliant with military standards.
