LDC401 VOLTAGE STEADY STATE LIMITS TEST
LDC401 Voltage Steady State Limits Test
Prepared by the United States Department of Defense, the MIL-STD-704 Aircraft Electric Power Characteristics standard defines operating conditions related to voltage, frequency, phase, ripple, and maximum current for military aircraft and associated equipment. The LDC401 Voltage Steady State Limits Test is performed to verify that 28V DC utilization equipment operates within the Emergency Low Steady State (ELSS) and Emergency High Steady State (EHSS) limits and maintains the specified performance.
Objective Purpose
- To verify that 28V DC utilization equipment operates within emergency steady-state limits.
- To demonstrate that the equipment maintains performance under the specified voltage conditions.
Test Scope Coverage
- Application of Emergency Low and Emergency High Steady-State voltage limits.
- Operational assessment for a minimum duration of thirty (30) minutes per test condition.
Technical Implementation Process
- During the test, input power voltage is applied at the emergency steady-state limits specified in the applicable revision.
- When power returns to normal limits, the equipment is expected to automatically recover to normal performance.
Applications Use Cases
- Equipment used in military aircraft electrical power systems.
- Aviation utilization equipment operating on 28V DC power.
At our STEST facility in Ankara, accredited by TURKAK, the LDC401 Voltage Steady State Limits Test is performed within the scope of MIL-STD-704, in accordance with the TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
