It plays an essential role in demonstrating compliance with electromagnetic compatibility requirements for military equipment and in ensuring the safe handling, integration, and operation of ordnance in electromagnetic environments.
Purpose Objective
- Determine the effects of electromagnetic radiation on military ordnance.
- Ensure electromagnetic safety for ordnance and related military systems.
Test Scope Scope
- Exposure scenarios under representative electromagnetic field conditions.
- Assessment of initiation susceptibility and associated safety risks for ordnance.
Technical Implementation Process
- HERO testing is performed in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-464 and STANAG 4439.
- Electromagnetic compatibility conditions are verified in a controlled laboratory environment.
Application Areas Use Cases
- Military ordnance and weapon systems.
- Military platforms where electromagnetic compatibility is mission-critical.
At our TÜRKAK-accredited STEST facility in Ankara, HERO testing is performed under the scope of MIL-STD-464A / 464B / 464C, in compliance with TS EN ISO/IEC 17025.
