Immunity Verification on Power/Signal Lines in Accordance with MIL-STD-461

CS114 Test (Conducted Susceptibility, Bulk Cable Injection 10kHz–200MHz)

The CS114 test, defined within the scope of MIL-STD-461, is intended to evaluate the immunity level of electrical and electronic equipment against conducted electromagnetic interference transmitted via power or signal leads. The test verifies compatibility with other onboard systems and assesses equipment robustness under externally induced electromagnetic effects. By ensuring stable operation during mission conditions, CS114 supports overall electromagnetic compatibility across the platform.

Purpose of the CS114 Test Objective

  • Evaluate immunity against conducted electromagnetic interference on power or signal leads.
  • Verify compatible operation with other systems installed on the platform.
  • Assess robustness against external electromagnetic effects and support mission stability.

Scope of the CS114 Test Scope

  • Applicable to military equipment with AC and DC power input leads.
  • Tests are performed while the equipment operates under normal operating conditions.
  • Frequency ranges and limit values defined in MIL-STD-461 revisions E, F, and G are taken as the basis.
  • Covers equipment used on land, naval, and airborne platforms.

CS114 Test Method Process

  • Controlled electromagnetic interference is applied to the equipment via power or signal leads.
  • Stable line impedance conditions are ensured throughout the test.
  • Interference signals are injected using EMI generators.
  • Equipment performance and anomalies are monitored.
  • Results determine the equipment’s immunity level to power- or signal-lead conducted electromagnetic interference.

Our CS114 Testing Services and Infrastructure STEST

  • We perform CS114 conducted susceptibility tests in accordance with MIL-STD-461 revisions E, F, and G.
  • Tests are carried out using configurations aligned with platform and project requirements, based on the methods defined by the standard.
  • CS114 testing is conducted in our shielded room, ensuring the measurement conditions required by military standards.

At STEST, we conduct CS114 conducted susceptibility tests under the scope of MIL-STD-461, ensuring the measurement conditions required by military standards.
