AMBULANCES AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL VEHICLES COMPLIANCE TESTS
In-Vehicle Heating Test
Purpose: To determine whether the heating system provides adequate performance in the patient compartment under low ambient temperature conditions.
Procedure: Temperature values are measured using thermocouples positioned at the center of the stretcher. The HVAC/heating system is operated and it is verified whether the temperature reaches the specified target range.
Verification: Following the test, visual, physical, and functional inspections are performed and overall system performance is assessed.
In-Vehicle Cooling Test (Clause 5.11)
Purpose: To assess whether the cooling system provides sufficient performance in the patient compartment under high ambient temperature conditions.
Procedure: Temperature values are recorded using multiple thermocouples at the center of the stretcher. The air-conditioning system is operated and it is monitored whether the environment is reduced to acceptable levels.
Verification: After the test, inspections are conducted to evaluate the functionality and reliability of the cooling system.
